Tips from Author Donna Jodhan Picturing The Page
Original Release: 10/1/2016
This is one hell of a technique that I often use to help me kick start my imagination. It works really well whenever I wish to de-clutter my mind.
The picturing the page technique works well for me in times of confusion and disorganization. I use it to reorder my mind and to put things in perspective. So how does it work?
First off I picture a blank page in front of me. Next I focus on the very first line of the page and I concentrate on placing a title here. This is probably the most difficult part of this technique but not to worry. If you are unable to picture a title then just move on and return to it later.
Next comes the body of the page; just allow your mind to float freely by simply picturing lines of words on your page. You don't necessarily have to come up with words. Just think of multiple lines containing multiple words.
Finally, think of having a blank line between every three to four lines. These will be your paragraph brakes.
You see! Not as difficult as you may think and after practising this technique a few times you will be amazed to see how easy it gets each time you do it.
So why not go out there and use the picturing the page technique?
