Tips from Author Donna Jodhan Read and Relax

No, this is not really a lazy way of doing things. It is probably a more leisurely way of doing things and it definitely works for me.
Whenever I feel a writer's block coming on or whenever I feel that my mind has become cluttered with too many ideas and mental stresses, I usually use the read and relax technique.
I find some quiet time and a quiet corner and after settling into a comfortable chair, I read my chosen material and relax. This allows my mind to wonder freely. To recharge and reformat. To just concentrate on what I am reading and nothing else.
It does not really matter what I choose to read; it could be anything from a spy or mystery novel to a news article or an article on health or economics. The trick here is to simply read something that takes my mind off other things and to relax while I read.
So why not go out there and try my read and relax technique?
