Tips from Author Donna Jodhan How Gentle Movements Can Help to Steady the Memory
Original Release: 9/11/2016
This is a strategy that I have been using for at least the past three years to help me steady my memory. Believe it or not, there are definitely times when our memories may simply either shut down on us or just go haywire throwing us into confusion.
These are probably the times when our memories are over loaded because we have been taxing them a bit too much. It is probably like those overworked circuit breakers that sometimes quit on us because we have placed too many demands on them through the number of appliances that we have asked them to send electricity to.
So how do we bring our memories back on track? It really is not all that difficult. We just have to sit quietly for a bit and allow our bodies to take over through gentle movements.
For example: To rock gently back and forth in a rocking chair. To do some gentle arm and leg stretches. The same for your back.
You can also stretch your fingers and toes in a gentle manner. Do the same for your jaw and even your eyes. Just take the time to stretch those muscles very slowly and gently and presto! You'll soon see a difference.
Spend a few minutes doing all of this and do it in a quiet corner of your home. Trust me when I say that it will work!
Enjoy!
